CLASSES
All my classes are designed for anyone with an interest in exploring their creativity - absolutely no experience is needed!
I aim to give you a relaxed and informal introduction to simple printmaking processes, which should be fun and hopefully you will be amazed at what you’re able to produce in a short space of time.
I will add more classes during the year and look out for seasonal/themed classes coming soon.
Collagraph
A collagraph is a print taken from a collaged plate. This simple, direct and unfussy form of printmaking is fun to create and can produce immediate and surprising results.
Various materials and different surfaces such as wallpaper, texture paste, string and sand are glued on to thick card. The ‘plate’ is varnished, inked up and printed using a press and produces highly textured, embossed and colourful prints.

Christmas Card Lino Workshop
Join me for a fun and relaxed evening making Christmas cards.
You will be given lots of ideas to help you create a design which you will transfer onto an A6 lino block. Don’t worry if you’re not a confident drawer as I will steer you in the right direction with a simple abstract design or trace from an existing design.
You will learn how to use basic lino cutting tools to carve out your image and print it onto high quality card using a printing press. We will print 10 cards which you will be able to send to a select few friends and family.
This workshop is a perfect opportunity to take some time out with friends and get into the Christmas sprit whilst being creative!! All materials for this class including the cards and envelopes are included and I will also provide some festive treats and drinks.

Introduction to Photopolymer Printing
Turn your favourite black and white photos into original prints!
Discover this simple, innovative and exciting printmaking process and transform photographic images into unique hand printed prints.
Prior to the class I will create a digital transparency from your photograph and together we will expose this positive onto a light sensitive photopolymer plate and develop it.
You will then be able to ink up the plate (in the same way as an etching) and create up 5- 10 original prints using my multipurpose press.
Included in the cost of the workshop:
All materials including: up to 10 sheets of 350gsm etching paper, inks, A4 digital transparency and an A4 Toyobo (photopolymer plate).
Homemade lunch and refreshments.
