My workshops are designed for anyone with an interest in exploring their creativity - absolutely no experience is needed!

You’ll get a fun introduction to simple printmaking processes and will be amazed at what you’ve produced in a short space of time.

All my workshops are suitable for beginners but are also perfect for anyone creative wishing to try a new process. Advanced workshops for those with experience are also available and please get in touch if you’re interested.

I host relaxed, informal workshops for small groups, giving you exclusive use of my studio - a perfect way to enjoy a fun and creative few hours with friends.

Introduction to Collagraph

Tape and Texture

Explore the creative possibilites of collagraph using simple materials like tape and textured papers. This hands-on class is a fun way to experiment with texture and markmaking with no drawing skills required.

You’ll build a printing plate by layering surfaces to create rich textures and patterns with various tapes (such as masking, parcel) and wallpapers to create abstract compositions and landscapes.

You’ll produce a small edition of 3-5, 7” x 5” unique prints (with the option of framing one print for an additional cost).

Workshops are designed for small groups of 4 or 5 people with exclusive use of the studio. Relaxed and enjoyable, they’re the perfect way to get together with a group of friends and try something new.

All materials are included and snacks and refreshments provided.

  • Wear old clothes and bring any design ideas if you have them (not necessary if you don’t!)

  • No. This workshop is perfect for complete beginners as well as artists looking to have a fun creative experience.

  • 3-5 original hand pulled prints on 350gsm German mouldmade etching paper, which can be mounted or framed and given as gifts to friends or family.

  • Children between 10-15 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Introduction to Collagraph:

Animals and Birds in Print

A collagraph is a print taken from a collaged plate. This incredibly simple and direct form of printmaking is fun to create.

You’ll have a choice of animal and bird designs to trace onto your plate. You’ll carve and tear layers in the card to make different textures which will print as tones. This will be varnished, inked up and printed.

You’ll produce a small edition of 3-5 black and white 7” x 5” unique prints (with the option of framing one print for an additional cost).

TetraPak Printing:

Eco Art: Simple Prints from Nature

This workshop is a perfect introduction to intaglio printmaking. In simple class you will learn how to turn recycled Tetrapak milk cartons into beautiful one-of-a-kind prints.

You’ll cut, score and peel the surface to create detailed designs inspired by nature. Then you will ink it up and print on the press to produce a mini edition of 3-5 of unique prints (with the option of framing one print for an additional cost).

Lino Cutting for Beginners:

An introduction to relief printmaking

Join me for a relaxed and creative introduction to lino cutting, perfect for beginners or anyone looking to try something new. In this hands-on workshop you’ll be guided step-by-step through the process- from developing a simple design, to carving your lino block and inking and printing.

I will provide lots of inspiration and templates but please feel free to bring any designs with you.

You will produce a small edition of one colour A5 or A6 prints (with the option of framing one print for an additional cost) or 10 greetings cards.
